The Manufacturing Process of Thin Flat Aluminum Strips

Aluminum strip stock is the product of aluminum coil after slitting, and the width is narrow, which is suitable for the use of transformer manufacturing, hardware lighting processing and window spacer. Usually aluminum strips are cut according to the actual width of the user, which can reduce waste, reduce processing procedures (without cutting), and save raw material costs.

The production of cold-rolled aluminum strips all need to go through production processes such as cold rolling, finishing and heat treatment. The difference in production processes is mainly in the production method of cold-rolled billets. At present, there are three main production processes: casting and rolling, ingot hot rolling and continuous casting and rolling.

The casting and rolling process is to directly cast the molten aluminum into a 6mm-8mm cast-rolled coil, and then adopt cold rolling method. Ingot hot rolling process is to semi-continuously cast aluminum liquid into large flat ingots. After the ingots are sawed, milled and edged, and heated, they are first sent to the hot rolling mill to be processed into hot rolled coils, and then cold rolled.

The continuous casting and rolling process is between the casting and rolling process and the slab hot rolling process, and there are many forms. Generally, molten aluminum is continuously cast into slabs of a certain size (thickness is much thinner than that of large slabs), and the high-temperature slabs are directly sent to hot rolling mills for rolling.

Today, the continuous casting and rolling process of thin slabs, which can save energy and reduce consumption and reduce production costs significantly, has attracted more and more attention. For example, for the production of 1mm-2mm aluminum, the continuous casting and rolling process only needs smelting, continuous casting and rolling to achieve.

The casting and rolling process requires smelting, casting and cold rolling to achieve. The flat ingot hot rolling process requires smelting, semi-continuous casting, sawing head and tail, milling, ingot heating, hot rolling, (cold rolling) to achieve. It can be seen that continuous casting and rolling belong to a short manufacturing process.

The main processing equipment of the thin flat aluminum strips is the slitting unit, which can cut the flat aluminum strips into the required length and width according to the needs. Haomei Aluminum owns two aluminum strip slitting production lines, which can cut aluminum strips according to the width required by users. For products with high surface requirements, film can be applied during the slitting process to avoid scratches.

The cutting accuracy of aluminum strip can be controlled within 0.05mm, and the inner and outer diameters can be processed according to user requirements. Welcome to leave message below to inquire what you need.
