1060 Aluminum for Transformer Aluminum Strip

Transformer aluminum strip is a commonly used conductive material in power transformers, which plays an important role in power transmission and distribution. In order to ensure that the transformer can operate normally and has good conductivity, standards are set for the thickness and width of the transformer aluminum strip.

Aluminum strips for transformers have a high aluminum content (usually 99.6%-99.7% or more). The electrical conductivity and thermal conductivity of aluminum are only lower than those of conventional metals such as copper. The main grades of transformer aluminum strips are A1060 (O), which are mainly used as conductive materials for high and low voltage windings of dry-type transformers.

Transformer aluminum strip has good elongation and tensile strength, which can fully meet the conventional processing requirements (stamping, stretching) and has high formability. It is industrial pure aluminum with high plasticity, corrosion resistance, electrical conductivity and thermal conductivity, but low strength. It can be gas welded, hydrogen atom welded and contact welded, but not easy to braze.

The main components of 1060 aluminum strip are carbon, chromium, aluminum, iron, manganese, zinc and tin, mainly aluminum, of which the aluminum content is about 99.6% or more. 1060 aluminum has excellent mechanical properties and good corrosion resistance, and is widely used in air exhaust pipes, hot water pipes, cold water pipes, heat exchangers, automobile manufacturing, mechanical processing and other industrial fields.

The main processing equipment for dry-type transformer aluminum strips is the slitting unit, which can be divided into the required length and width according to the needs. Usually, the aluminum strips of dry-type transformers are cut according to the actual width required by the user, which can reduce waste, reduce processing procedures (no cutting), and save raw material costs.
